TPI Golf Fitness Assessment & Training
Pam Owens is the Golf Fitness Professional at The Houstonian Golf and Country Club and The Golf Academy. Pam is a certified personal trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine and is an authorized MyTPI Pro Golf Fitness Provider. As the first Level Three Titleist Performance Institute Golf Fitness Professional in Texas, Pam has been innovative in designing strength and conditioning programs for hundreds of golfers of all levels and ages. Her clients include PGA Tour players, top nationally ranked junior golfers, high school golf teams as well as senior golfers.
In 2008, she created a fun group golf fitness class called “Golfletics” that develops cardiovascular conditioning, tempo and timing, posture, balance, stability, mobility, and strength. She has also created stretching routines for the driving range, conducts recovery classes and the 3D Stretching Clinics which develops flexibility for all ages.
Pam offers the TPI Golf Fitness program which assesses your fitness level to determine how it is affecting your swing. Utilizing TPI’s physical screening process, Pam will measure your body’s ability to generate and transfer speed. Factors such as balance, posture, mobility, stability, and strength influence your swing mechanics. Pam and the golf professionals will work as a team to target the most important areas to improve your game.
In addition to golf specific training, Pam also conducts group fitness classes and clinics, gives educational presentations and writes for golf publications with over 30 articles published in 2007 and 2008.
