Among its many accolades, The Houstonian Golf & Country Club hosted the 2006 Nationwide Tour Championship. This 72-hole tournament, featuring the Nationwide Tour’s top 60 money winners, was the season-ending tournament with the top 20 players on the final money list earning their PGA TOUR cards for the following year.
The Houstonian Golf & Country Club was also selected to host the inaugural LPGA Tour Championship presented by Rolex which took place November 17-22, 2009. The season ending tournament featured the world's top 120 professional female golfers competing for a prize purse of $1.5 million. It was an honor to host such prestigious event and welcome the LPGA back to the Houston area.
